| Mark Colgan got his first guitar as a present at the age of seven. At seventeen or so he started playing the London folk circuit (Bunjies, Cousins club etc.) Watching and playing among artists like Bert Jansch, John Renbourn and Davy Graham. He made an album in the late 60's and was one of the first performers to be produced by Roger Cook. His songs and guitar arrangements were also used as film music in the film "Extremes" and released on Decca Records. Mark is also involved in writing music and songs for other artists. His songs have been covered by various bands and he has also written dozens of soundtracks for radio and television. Mark's son Maclaine Colston produced his latest album "Begone Dull Care". Maclaine is a celebrated Hammered Dulcimer player who has made many appearances on radio and television. "Three years seriously hard work went into this album" said Mark. "But I've been wanting to go back to my folk roots for years.".Mark lives with his wife Susan and Golden Retriever Lucy in Naples Florida. He has just released a single CD track "All time girl". This style is almost country ballad and reflects his American influences. Listen to the full MP3 - It's the first link below. Many thanks to Andy Wahlberg for production, recording, string parts, harmony, harp guitar and generally motivating me to finish the song. | ||||
